It is customary, in philosophical circles, to refer to, say, Hardie, as "Grice's father", and, say, Grice's as "Strawson's father." If you want to spend an enjoyable afternoon in this type of 'genealogical' philosophical research, visit J. Dever.
Now, as for Welby's literal father, I read from wiki:
"Lady Violet's father" "married Lady Emmeline Manners."
Maiden names are all important. Recall that Grice's mother's name was pretty aristocratic, too: Mabel Fenton.
"Lady Manners" was the "daughter of John Manners, 5th Duke of Rutland."
Lady Welby had two older brothers. Sadly, they never showed much of an interest ('avant-la-lettre') on Griceian concerns. The eldest was, for the record, Archibald Henry Plantagenet Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie. And then there was Adelbert William John Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie.
Lady Welby's father "died of the effects of a hunting accident suffered earlier in [his] life."
