Grice replies in "Reply to Richards" that it is otiose to think that J. L. Austin, whom he admired, avoided the odd neologism, or technical expression (vide his 'rhetic', 'perlocutionary', 'performative').
On the other hand, Grice coined 'implicature'.
I read from wiki, "Lady Welby":
"she coined the word significs for her approach (replacing her first choice of "sensifics")."
