How can McDowell refute Grice philosophically?

Green/Bar-On, while NOT quoting from Grice, "Banal to the Bizarre" or "Reply to Richards" (against M-intention ascribed to 'creatures deprived of language' (I love them), care to quote from McDowell -- on animal signs.

How can McDowell, an Oxonian philosopher, care to refute another Oxonian philosopher. For philosophical interpretation, I rather go Grice.
