Wittgenstein in Oxford, and reactionary Grice

As McEvoy reminds us, since Strawson's review of Witters, "Philosophical investigations", ed by Oxonian Anscombe, Witters presence was something of a 'given' in Oxford: McGuinness, Baker, Hacker.

Grice provides a few cursory remarks against Witters in "WoW" Strand 6, AND "Reply to Richards" vis a vis Witters's inability to see implicature.

Etc.
