Enriching the logical form of loose speakers

4 examples by Grice:

"I spent last summer in Persia; they are very dissatisfied with the present regime".

------ "they" -- who?

Grice proposes: "The Persians, of course".

"A car went whizzing by me and scraped my fender; but HE didn't stop".

"It"? Grice's gloss: "It = Jones's presentation of his views".
