Grice was unimpressed by his favourite Strawman, Strawson, and his ability to publish and publish and publish. Now the man was out with this new book out, which had even merited a riposte by Sir Freddie Ayer:
"One might just as well write on the concept of a parson"
person: "Compare PARSON n. (originally the same word, but now
differentiated in form."
If not meaning, for if a person is, as Strawson claims, a spatio-temporal continuant with a brain to it, how can a parson not be one?
Etc.
