Dennett as Gricean

Dennett, for the record, (I met him) studied with Warnock and others as a graduate student in All Souls and has some charming memories of the Oxford days. He quotes Grice extensively in his many books, notably in his earlier stuff on "Intentional Stance", etc.

So we seem to have one Grice vs. another Grice, reduplicating phenotypically beyond the narrow environment of their own bodies, ah!
