Compiling Name-Index for This Year of Grice

---- By J. L. S.

IT HAS BEEN A HARD WORK. We had Aristotle alright. But then we wondered about Ariskant. And Kantotle, and Herbert Grice (Grice's father) and Mabel Fenton (Grice's mother), and St. Giles -- the street where 'you' live! -- and "Ox" and "Ford".

Then Geary suggested, "The idea of having the name index in alphabetic order should be given due consideration", implicating should not. Still:

Austin, J. L. -- Lancastrian born philosopher. 'Friend' of Grice's.
Grice, H. P. (1913-1988)
Hampshire, S. N.
Nowell-Smith, P. H.
Paul, G. A.
Pears, D. F.
Strawson, P. F.
Thompson, J. F.
Urmson, J. O.

etc. So again, keep in mind when you name-drop in having the name in the label rubric at the bottom of the post. I have been to blogs where you can organise or retrieve posts by that rubric _only_. Isn't that a computational geniality?

NB. Care NOT to drop "Grice" in 'label this post'. That would explode the system.
Warnock, G. J.
