A friend of mine attended a lecture by J. O. Urmson in an American university. All he recalls about it is the way Urmson kept pronouncing the Greek for 'pain' -- loupe -- (he was lecturing, you see, on hedonism) to rhyme with American slang for crazy.
It's odd that while there's Nietzsche's negativism, there's no -ism corresponding really to loopy, unless we count Sade.
Etc.
-- and his best friend, Masoch, that is.
