Marina Sbisa in Verschueren:
"This article is a sketchy overview of the history of analytical philosophy in the 20th century from Frege and the linguistic turn to recent contextualism, highlighting main themes in the philosophy of language and of mind and the relationship with pragmatics. Attention is paid to ordinary language philosophy (Austin, Strawson, Grice) from which pragmatics has drawn such basic notions as appropriateness, presupposition, speaker's meaning."
