abstract for J. Saul's Grice Paper in Nous
"This paper examines the relationships between speaker meaning, saying, and implicating, on Grice's theory of conversation. It argues that speaker meaning does not divide exhaustively into what is said and what is implicated, and suggests a new understanding of the role of conversational implicature."
