The third 'transf. and fig." use of 'schizophrenia', after Eliot 1933 and Orwell 1945 provided by the OED is from "Here and Now" (N.Z.), 1949, Oct. 32/2.

The citation is:

"There are few alien hills in Mr. Witherford's poems
and he is not preoccupied with CULTURAL
schizophrenia."

-- only with the medical one!
