Figurative uses of 'phren' and Grice's aspects of reasoning

Speranza

After 1912, 1925, 1944 and 1945, 'schizophrenia' was used in 1958 by J. M. Argyle in "Religious Behaviour," ix, p. 107.

Argyle writes:

"By the PSYCHOSES
we mean the clinical conditions
of
SCHIZOPHRENIA,
mania and depression,
paranoia,
epilepsy,
together with certain organic states."
