Grice, Goffman, and Scruton on irrationality


Goffman writes:

"As part of this sad pleasure there will be the UNSERIOUS USE of "STIGMA TERMS OF ADDRESS" that are usually tabooed in 'mixed' society. For example, the use of 'crazy' by mental patients."

The reference Goffman gives here is:
