Not that he would have liked _them_. Vide my posts elsewhere and this blog, "Sticky Wicket" (Grice disliked computers because inter alia:
- persons are _not_ computers, and he was into persons -- cited by Chapman, 'we're not, after all, computers'.
-- computers cannot spell ('pirot', 'very sticky wicket', etc.)
Elsewhere, in Hearts Up, this blog -- I meant to have the icons, but failed -- I refer to a publication or unpublication by yours truly
on icons
as used, by necessity, by autistic, dislexic, etc.
My argument was, and public, too,
that this is all very good. But can an icon (I don't mean a _gay_ icon -- I always cherish this post in the Guardian's Notes and Queries, "How do I become a gay icon?") be used ironically, i.e.
:) to mean :(
or vice versa?
