Basically, he _understands_ Grice! (as I don't on _that_ point on how serious must we be about an awfully obvious scare-quote use of 'mean' as in
those spots 'mean' measles

Part of the problem was in Grice's solution: replacing Peirce's krypto-technicisms for flat Anglo-Saxonisms!
