Well, not really -- but a lovely Kantian phrase -- which I was inspired to remember on not reading it in Chapman, p. 174:
"Finally, and rather briefly, Grice comments that philosophy of language is to be seen as a sub-theory of rational psychology"!
New waves for the over-quoted (by linguists, etc. who more often than not will not understand, or 'will' not understand), "I want to see langauge as a variety of purposive, goal-driven, indeed, 'rational' behaviour" (WoW, or words).
