Dale on Δ-compositionality

From Dale's thesis, ch. 4, as I explore his symbolisms: lambda-function, g-function, which are elegant, and "delta".

Dale writes:

"Suppose, to take a single example, that there was a finite theory

Δ*

which entailed an analysis of the
'conventionally-expresses' relation employed in [D]."

"Then, the conjunction of [D] and

Δ*

will be a C[ompositional] S[ematic] T[heory] by my definition and it also entails an analysis of the semantic notion with which it is chiefly concerned."

--- cfr. Speranza on 'pushing up the daisies'.

Dale:

"Of course, all the "C[ompositional] S[ematic] T[heory] work", so to speak, of this CST is done by [D]."

"

Δ*

is just tacked on to [D]."

Later, I hope.
