Dishonesty reigns? Cancelling more than you put forward

Shulz's account of Griceian 'fc' (free choice) is neat, but introduces 'pragmatic entailment' and dishonesty! (the concept, not the action -- "An honest utterance is one uttered according to Griceian principles" -- yet Grice claimed that one can allways (sic) opt out of the operation of the maxims. Evil will is just as Kantian as good will -- they think!)
