Baker, "Counting categorical imperatives", in Kant Studien 1988, credits Grice for discussion "over a great many years". Indeed, Baker was Grice's PhD student at Berkeley. Cfr. also the "Notes with Judy", where Grice considers such phrases as 'alcohol-free', 'freewheeling' and 'free for lunch'. Baker in PGRICE, Do one's motives have to be pure?, also credits Grice for some insight into the iteration of bouletic attitudes as they cash morality in terms of motivation.
