I once contacted Andreas Kemmerling. The German Grice, as I call him. I wanted to have his opinion on Habermas for a silly thing I found myself in the obligation to write.
He wrote back: "Habermas. Surely too wishy-washy. Don't you have anything better to do with your free Gricean time?"
At the time I didn't. I now do.
