Why?
ReplyDeleteWell, for one, Austin is dead. He is said to have been pretty stuffy. His Saturday mornings (or "Sat. mngs", as he preferred) were "by (stiffy) invitation only". No females allowed, and they´d meet only during terms (He had a garden to tend to in the suburbs).
When Grice took over, they started to be _funner_ and the occasional drink dropped.
And now with Grice dead it´s become, er, ... eschatological at its exhilarating best.
