So, the author of "The Wild Pansy" (La pensee sauvage) is dead.
And he _was_ into the implicatures among the Munde.
So let us drop a quick memorial. The Munde are a funny lot. They lack certain lexemes. In a way they resemble Borges's fictional tribe in "Dr. Brodie's Report". Brodie was so enthusiastic about his missionary work. Off he went to translate the Lord's Prayer. Little did he know that the tribe had no real concept of "father", which cut the Lord's prayer short.
The Munde were similar. So, recall: when travelling in Magalasya, do not forget Elinor Och Keenan, "The universality of conversatinal postulates"!
Cheers,
