Meet
Daniel W. Harris. His main research interests have to do with the Grice's philosophy of language. Specifically, Harris is interested in the nature of linguistic meaning, so-called: its role in explaining communication, the nature of the facts that give rise to it, and a variety of other foundational issues surrounding the semantic theories used to understand it. Harris also admittedly spends time thinking about issues related to the mind and psychology, the natural and social sciences, art, politics, and ethics, and coffee. He is the author of "Foundations for a Griceian Theory of Linguistic Meaning", and also "What About Communication Should a Theory of Language Explain?", "Why Personhood Should be Removed from Ethical Theory", "The Etiology of Linguistic Intuitions", and "A Logic for Talking About Things that Don't Exist".
