multiple realisability

"the general account of mind
advocated by Grice
does not require corresponding
types of neurological states
for each type of
psychological state" Marks, cited by E. Schechter, in her PhD disseration, under P. Carruthers.

Schechter quotes also from Grice 1961, in connection with the 'causal' connection in perception. It may be that when it comes to neurophysiology, Grice should have accepted similar a 'deference to experts'.
