Not much of an overlap, either, other than Grice quotes his JOINT work in, of all things, the 'philosophy of action' with this former Student of Christ Church (don't be misled by 'Student' -- it means 'Fellow' at Christ Church --. For some reason, Thomson left for MIT (of all places) pretty early in his career. He married Judith Jarvis.
If you google for Thomson you'll find his rather boring unphilosophical things he contributed, e.g. for P. Edwards, "Encyclopaedia of Philosophy'.
I was pleased, though, to find his early "Defense of -->", in the Journal of Philosophy -- posthumously edited by Judith Jarvis Thomson (some 30 years after the original date of delivery or something -- dated circa 1963, Jarvis says).

I have NO idea what Thomson may have thought in terms of 'philosophy of action', but HE was the man to discuss those things with Grice. Grice had 'selective friendships' of this intellectual sort. He would meet with Strawson to talk of categories (they taught together -- which made life easier for Grice, because teaching can be one of the most boring things a philosopher may have to do!) -- He would meet with Warnock to talk 'philosophy of perception', and with Thomson to discuss 'philosophy of action'.
What a compleat man!
