Grice on pointless 'reasoning'

Would we say that the reasoner is 'reasoning' here? (From Grice, "Aspects of Reason")


i. I have 2 hands.
ii. If I had 3 more I'd have 5.
iii. Doubling that I'd have 10.
iv. If 4 are removed, 6 would remain.

v. Ergo I'd have 4 more hands than I presently have.

Grice and I think yes (on Mondays-Wednesdays-and-Fridays) and no (on Tuesdays-Thursdays).
