The Causal Theory of Perception: Qualia and Professor Grice

Oddly, there is a Grice Marine Laboratory. No connection. Fish perceive things differently from humans.

Grice (not the one after whom the Grice Marine Laboratory was created) admired Aristotle. But when I discuss Aristotle with my philosophy students we always laugh at the fact that he thought (and wrote! -- in Greek, granted) that a whale was a fish!
