Grice's "Soul"

From O'Shaughnessy's obit, today:

"At the same time, he was interested in explaining and delimiting the structure of the mind and the psyche."

----

Possibly, I would bet (and I do bet), the reason why Grice avoided 'philosophy of mind' (and preferred 'philosophical psychology') is that he was Ackrill's tutor. And as such, the expert in Aristotle in Oxford in the 1950s. And Aristotle uses 'soul' (psyche), never 'mind'!
