Shalom (1997) finds females implicate less in personal classifieds
In her breakthrough study of "Lonely Hearts" section in "Times Out" Shalom 1997 finds that a female usually is looking for something different than a male (in posting personal classifieds). "For one, unless they are lesbians, they are looking for males". More from her book, now in paperback. She quotes from Grice, "Logic and Conversation".
