Speranza
Grice is joking with Aristotle in referring to self-love, and conversational at that! While the William James lectures on logic and conversation are echoes of Kant, the Oxford lectures on logic and conversation (where Grice actually introduces the noun 'implicature') are Aristotelian in spirit.
No wonder Bennett was right when finding Grice "in the tradition of Kantotle"!
