Griceian Facts

Speranza

A Griceian should distinguish between a

-- fact

and a

-- state of affairs

and a

- case

The latter as when we say

i. It is the case that the king of France is bald.
ii. It is not the case that the king of France is bald.
iii. It is the case that the king of France is not bald.

And of course when we are translating Witters in his very first utterance in the TLP, "Fall", for 'casus' (from which 'case' derives) is Latin for 'fall'.
