In his formulation of the first neo-Stoutian conditon for intending, Grice sticks with a 'subjective-condition' clause, and avoids the reference to the objective condition: "Smith intends to travel abroad next month" -- "Smith would in fact, at least for a time and up to a point, take steps which in his view are required to be taken to make it possible for him to go."
