Hume is where the heart is, Grice used to say.
He _knew_ that "Hume" is, strictly speaking, a typo.
"The man was called, originally, "Home": "David Home". The Scots who lived among him, naturally, pronounced this "Hjuuu:m", which annoyed Home. Eventually, he gave up and decided to change his name so that at least it would not be mispronounced.
