Grice Changes Oxford
An 'Oxonian' change can occur because there is a real change elsewhere. Whenever there is a mere 'Oxonian' change there must be a real change somewhere, but the converse is not true. Grice uses this notion to explain the ascription of change to a philosopher in virtue of a philosopher's relation to his changing philosophy.
