Holloway starts his "Language and Intelligence" by expressing that he is "deeply indebted" to Ryle for 'invaluable guidance' and 'encouragement' -- Interesting, since Hodges acknowledges that Turing's essay (on intelligence) would fit with Ryle's "Concept of Mind", where mind is presented as a 'description of the world'
