After 1912 and 1925, 'schizophrenia' was used in 1944 by E. A. Strecker in "Fund. Psychiatry", vii, p.123.

Strecker writes:

"In spite of the fact that
schizophrenia
and manic-depressive
are DIVERGENT
and alien to each other
in psychopathology,
there are clinical situations
in which the DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS
is difficult."
