In WoW:RE, Grice plays with the rather classicist idiom,
"Sorry I couldn't fix the cable yesterday.
I was cleaning the Augean stables"
-- the implicature being that he was onto some hard, of mythological stature, work. "He cannot be meaning that he was in Augis, because we _know_ he was in San Diego".
