P. F. Strawson on H. P. Grice

I wish to acknowledge my great indebtedness to my Oxford colleague, H. P. Grice, from whom I have never ceased to learn about logic since he was my tutor at St. John's in the subject, and from whose discussions of the topics of this essay I have profited, saving me from many inelegancies and mistakes.
