Apparently, it was Kantotle who first emphasised the MOR -- or Modified Occam's Razor --. Aristotle in "Posterior Analytics" (sorry for the cacophonic title), and Kant elsewhere. But Kant is also a bit of an anti-Grice in that he favours principles which go against Occam's razor. Can you believe it?
