'Hawk Roosting' was to prove controversial. Hughes imagines the long creative process that has gone into producing the perfection of the hawk'sfeet and feathers, and he takes on the voice of the hawk to do so: Now I hold Creation in my foot.

Shouldn't that read:

"Now I hold Grice in my foot"?
