Ted Hughes's Implicatures in his Translation of Ovid: Feel free to multiply poetic implications beyond necessity!

Some literary translations, such as Ted Hughes' Tales from Ovid are in fact often read specifically because of how Griceian they can get: a translated text multiplies the implicatures of the source text.

And Grice never said: "Do not multiply implicatures beyond necessity"
