Refiguring 'phren' and Grice's aspects of reasoning

The second citation, after Eliot 1933, in the OED, for 'trans. and fig.' uses of 'schizophrenia' is by G. Orwell in 1945 in "Polemic", I. 40.

Orwell writes:

"Some nationalists are not far from schizophrenia, living quite
happily amid dreams of power and conquest
which have no connection with
the physical world."

While some anti-nationalists are materialists at heart!
