From The Collected Papers by Tarski: Snow is white and grass is green

Grice was often infuriated by the overimportance Americans gave to Tarski, a Polish 'minor' logician.

After all, like Strawson, Tarski's theory fails to provide an analysis of what Grice calls 'factual satisfactoriness' in embedded contexts:

Suppose our honest policeman, the best -- 'honesty is the best policy': says:

snow is green
grass is white

-- inverting Tarski's disquotational quotes.

It turns out that Tarski was _wrong_ or only _pretending_ he was?
