Warnock's Ego

My marginalia on Chapman, p. 39:

"Geoffrey L (sic) Warnock edited Austin's Sense and Sensibilia"

-- which allways BORED Austin.

And reading the notes one is led to believe that Sir Geoff (Vice-Chancelor at Oxford, a titbit Chapman fails to care to mention) only did it because Austin cares to discuss at length his Penguin paperback (is this otiose?) on Berkeley!
